Every customer has specific requirements. Our approach is fully geared to them. At CTC you can have your data carriers destroyed in several ways. First, we can destroy your data carriers in our professionally secured service centre in Nieuwegein. If you choose this option, we pick up the data carriers with our own transportation. This is the most economical option for you.
A second option is that we destroy the data carriers at your premises with our mobile shredder. This further reduces the risk of data leaks. Someone from your organization can be physically present during the actual destruction of the data carriers. For data security reasons, it is not possible to deliver your data carriers to our service centre yourself.

It is smart to have your professionally used SSD drives completely destroyed after use. With SSDs, it is essential that all internal memory chips are damaged or destroyed beyond repair. To do this, we use a powerful shredder. This shreds the SSD into very small pieces, making it impossible to read it with any possibility. We have both a stationary and a mobile shredder at our disposal.
You can have your data carriers destroyed in our professionally secured service centre in Nieuwegein. If you prefer this option, we will pick up the data carriers in a special container with our own transportation. This is the most economical option for you. If desired, you (or one of your employees) can also be physically present during the actual destruction of the data carriers.
We can also destroy SSDs at your premises with our mobile shredder. The risk of data leakage is significantly reduced with this on-site service. For the sake of your data security, it is not recommended that you bring your data carriers to us yourself.
SSD destruction is the primary choice when the equipment no longer has any residual value. Or when internal protocols require it, for example. Nevertheless, complete destruction is not always necessarily necessary and/or desired.
Reinvest or donate residual value
In some cases, we can buy back your old hardware. You can then reinvest the residual value in new equipment. You can also donate the residual value to the ITdonations Foundation. Through the foundation, you can support a charity of your choice.
Delete or transfer data
It is very complex to delete data from SSD drives. This is due to the way the data is stored. It is just as safe and effective to delete the data by overwriting it. CTC’s specialists can also take care of this for you. In this case, we use special software from the renowned Blancco to delete the data.
Destroying SSDs yourself is not safe!
What is the best method? That depends on the type of media, the sensitivity of the data and the (expected) value at the end of the life of the asset. Regularly, companies try to destroy their data indoors. Especially in the case of SSDs, this is not a safe choice and this should be done by a specialist!
